Commercial initiatives at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol



Schiphol Group develops airports based on the vision that an airport should provide a perfect stopover in the travel process where the visitor is offered a unique experience. This is referred to as the AirportCity concept. Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is our showcase for the concept, and it is here that the AirportCity concept is at its most advanced stage of development. We are constantly looking for innovative ideas so that we can continue to develop the concept and thereby continue to increase the quality of the experience for our passengers.

A major trend on the consumer market is the pace at which modernisations and changes are taking place. Consumers constantly want to be surprised. At the same time, there is a greater demand for 'experiences', i.e. products and services which offer the customer a more profound experience. The consumer market is developing into a 'customer made' environment in which consumers themselves have an influence on products and services. These trends are also clearly visible in the products and services which are currently under development at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

Space, especially commercial space in the terminal is limited, and is therefore not always available.
